Help Line

Join Our Help Line!

We’re excited to announce the
launch of the Drug-Addiction-Support.org Help Line starting this October. This Help Line is our way to connect with those who are struggling with addiction, themselves,
or who are trying to help a loved one. Currently, we receive and answer over a
dozen questions per week, but we would like to do more to help those who contact us through our website.

To more adequately respond to your
needs, our Help Line has a three-pronged approach:

** We’re hosting an Addiction Support Group, which has been set up to support those who are struggling with substance addiction in themselves,
or their loved one. It meets on the first and third Saturday
morning of the month, lasts 60 minutes, and runs from 9:00 to 10:00 am CDT. Everything discussed in the group
is confidential and you can join using any screen name you choose.
You can come and just listen or participate once you feel more
comfortable.

We’re using the tool Learn-it-Live (any easy to use tool for an
online group) to host the group. This is the platform that we use for our other seminars and classes. It takes a
few minutes to register so please come early your first time, so that
you don’t miss any part of the group.

Please register now for our next group session:

**  We’re also launching four new
classes which will help you learn how to use motivation, affirmation
and encouragement to end addiction in yourself or a loved one. Each
class will focus on an evidence-based concept, explaining how to illicit positive
change
in yourself or in someone you love.

We will teach you practical techniques that
research has shown to be effective for achieving change and successfully ending addiction.
We’ll begin offering these classes this September through Learn-It-Live (Learn-It-Live is easy to use teaching tool and you don’t need to download anything to use it). Click Register Now! below to join one of our classes. The registration process includes setting up an account, but you determine your screen name to protect your confidentiality.

Four new addiction classes:

– Addiction 101, a FREE 60 minute course introducing key substance addiction recovery concepts. This seminar examines many aspects of drug addiction, including symptoms and treatment. It also introduces the Stages-of-Change as a building for recovery.  It will be held on Monday November, 6 at 6:00pm central-time.

** Finally, continued access to our 24/7 call-in
support line, to get the confidential help you need for yourself or
your loved. Our compassionate addiction specialists will listen to
your situation and help you decide what to do next. You don’t have to
live this way; there is confidential help available. Speak with an
addiction treatment specialist anytime at 800-815-3910.

We’re excited
about these services, and hope it will more fully meet the
needs of those struggling with addiction recovery. This is the biggest
change we’ve made to the site since our site launch almost ten years
ago. Over the next month, we’ll be providing the information you’ll need
to connect to our new Help Line, so please check back as we fill in the details.

and Finally Remember:

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”
