Dear Janel,

Our friend Joe Herzanek says addiction is like committing suicide on the installment plan. Short-term effects like increased blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory failure and the like can, over time, greatly diminish the addict's over all physical condition.

Long-term abuse and addiction can lead to death. In between are broken relationships, possible criminal record, jail, professional failure,disappointments and a great deal of pain and suffering for family.

Nothing good comes of drug abuse...Nothing!
