Sounds like you’re ready to get help to quit!

by: Debbie Wicker

Dear Kayli,

Because you have an addiction you do need help. You cannot do this alone, you need to be with others who have been where you’re at to get the skills and resources necessary to learn how to end your addiction.

Please consider going to the hospital and asking for help to detox for the drugs you’ve been using. Ask them to refer you to a treatment program that can help you to end your dependence on drugs.

You must also begin attending AA or NA meetings DAILY, right away. Working a 12 step program can help you to understand your addiction and also to LEARN how to live life without using.

Addiction is a disease of the brain that stops us from being the person we’re meant to be. We can only overcome this disease by re-training our brain using the 12 steps. The steps show us how to live a happy, joyous and free life without the chain of addiction around our necks!

Please go to a group today,

Debbie
