Looking for family group in Edinburgh?

by Raymonde

I wanted to find a group I could attend for family of addict in Edinburgh. I was wondering what would be best for my adult child. I live in Bangkok and she lives in UK, I have come here last year for 5 months to help her and she started taking again.

I was wondering if it was better for her that I come to live closer to her or if it is better I continue to live my life as I am used to for the last 24 years in Bangkok. I don't know what is best for her anymore and what to do. She will be starting medication and will see a counselor.

I wouldn't make the decision too quickly about returning to Bangkok. Your daughter is at a fragile stage in her recovery and likely needs your support.

Al-anon is a great place to go for support and will help you to make the right choices for your daughter.
