Dear Ken,

Addiction to multiple drugs at the same time is something that many addicts have to face. Most people in treatment centers are addicted to more than one drug. You can call this number and talk to a drug addiction counselor anytime, 24-7:

call 877-260-1145 and they will help you find the treatment you need.

It is important that you receive treatment for everything that you’re addicted to. Many, many people get treatment for cocaine addiction but remain addicted to alcohol and/or pot.

Alcohol addiction is often the most difficult to treat but is just as harmful as the other drugs. Often people think well I’m not taking illegal drugs so what does it hurt if I still drink.

The issue is that because addiction is a disease of the brain you must free yourself from all of substances that you’re addicted to in order to allow your brain to recover. Unless your brain recovers from the addiction you will remain a slave to alcohol and you won’t be able to live the happy joyous life that I know you must be seeking.

Please consider attending AA and NA meetings is Morro Bay and try to go to meetings daily to learn about the 12 steps and to find a good sponsor who will support you on your journey.
