We have a 36 year old addict now at The Maverick location. We need to attend two sessions in order to see her.

We live in Queen Creek.

Finding family counseling

Dear Melanie,

I have three ideas for you to find sessions for you and your husband. First call the Maverick center, where your daughter is, and ask for a recommendation of the best place for you to go to get sessions related to your daughter’s treatment.

If that doesn’t work try calling your doctor or local hospital and asking them to refer you to an addiction family counseling program. They should have excellent local treatment centers to recommend.

Finally, find a local Al-anon meeting and start attending those meetings. The more you learn and understand addiction the more help you will be for your daughter. Al-anon is an EXCELLENT resource for the families of addicts and should be able to help you navigate through this very difficult problem that your daughter is struggling to recover from.
