The Prevention Coalition addiction-related resources
I have a teenage son and I’m terrified about his risk for addiction, particularly given all of the recent coverage on how teen brains are in fact primed for it as a form of learning. My hope is that real-world stories of the difficulties and dangers of addiction combined with the facts will help encourage him and his peers to focus on their opportunities so that they remain on a positive path.
I thought The Prevention Coalition should gather some addiction-related resources to help families with prevention as well as treatment, and so I’ve included some of our favorites below. I think your audience would find them very valuable (for example, here: http://www.drug-addiction-support.org/Al-Anon.html).
