There is a lot of family support for addiction recovery in your area. Here is a meeting every Sunday that sounds like it would be a good place to start:

Garden City, NY 11530
Simple Sunday
Garden City Community Church
245 Stewart Ave. (Whitehall Blvd. Entrance)
Day: Sunday Time: 6:30 PM

AL means Al-anon meeting and because it’s held at a church it should be a good resource for you.
