What is the meaning of a condom in a foil packet for a heroin user?

We recently found out that our child was using heroin. In searching her belongings, I found a condom inside a foil packet. Does this mean she is trading sex for drugs or does the condom have a role in smoking it?

Condoms usually come in a foil wrapper and it likely means that your daughter is sexually active. Condoms are also used to transport drugs in the body to avoid being caught.

I would recommend that you discuss it with your daughter and try as quickly as possible to get her into treatment. The early the heroin addiction is caught and treated the easier it is to quit.

I would also highly recommend that you immediately begin attending Al-anon meetings and find a sponsor whose has helped their child to end their heroin addiction.

Whether you daughter is trading sex for drugs or transporting drugs inside her body, her heroin addiction is her critical problem that must addressed ASAP!
