What is the “Road to Recovery”?

by Chris

Hi,

I came across the Drug Addiction Support site and was very impressed with the work you’re doing around addiction prevention. I thought it might be worth sharing a new ‘Road to Recovery’ infographic we’ve just developed here at Sober
College. The infographic was designed to assist friends or family members concerned about a loved one’s possible addiction, and to highlight the different steps along the way to recovery. It can be found on our website here:

http://sobercollege.com/addiction-treatment-phases/road-to-recovery/

We’d be really interested to know what you think of this – we should be doing another infographic later in the year so feedback is always useful! If you feel it may be useful to your own clients and contacts, please feel free to share it on your own website or across your social media channels.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!

Chris

Great infographic that explains the “process” of recovery.

Hi Chris,

This is a good infographic because it explains the major steps that everyone should follow as they try to recover from addiction.

I wish people would heed your advice and stay in residential treatment for 90 days. So many people I see have limited insurance and leave rehab after detox. As you know this is a HUGE mistake and an invitation to relapse and failure.

Staying away from their current environment and avoiding all the relapse triggers is such an essential part of treatment but so few actually take the time needed to fully benefit from the treatment they’re receiving.

Thanks for doing this infographic and sending to our site.

Debbie
