by Lori
(Parma, OH)

Hi,

Looking for meetings for myself and my mother.
My son has been battling heroin for past 5 years and we are looking for support.

He has been in and out of 14 rehabs in past year and half and now currently living on the streets in Florida.

Not sure as to where to go from here?

any help is truly appreciated

So sorry such an awful situation you're in :(
by: Debbie Wicker

Dear Lori,

I'm so very sorry to hear that you're son is struggling with heroin addiction. It sounds like you've been doing everything possible to help your son but nothing has worked. I cannot imagine how frustrated you are with this situation.

Going to Al-anon is a good idea, so that you and your mother can begin working the 12-steps and get emotional support during this difficult situation.

I found two meetings which you can try to see if they meet your needs:

- Wednesday 10:30 AM Parma New Beginnings, Parma South Presb. Church, 6155 Pearl Rd

- Thursday 8:00 PM Parma Serenity, St. Columbkille Parish Center, far west entrance, lower level mtg room, 6740 Broadview Rd., Beginners Meeting at 7:30 PM

Going to Al-anon, working the steps and finding a sponsor will hopefully help you to make the best decisions possible for your son and yourself.

Good Luck,

Debbie
