Son may be trying drugs.

by FeLecia

We believe our son is trying to experiment with drugs. We believe in the power of prayer and know God is able to help with this situation however I feel your program is awesome. I can clearly see that God has given you insight and wisdom on this challenge.

Our son Andre has had challenges with school and best friend turned on him after his best friends mother attempted to molest him.(Andre looked up to her as a mother). He has been trying to cope with this. We are a bonded family with 2 other children(girls 18 & 14)

Our oldest is prepared for college and Andre is 17 in his last yr of high school.

Thanks for listening. I will share this info w/my husband when I get home from work.

May want to consider some counseling for your son

by: Debbie Wicker

Dear FeLecia,

Thanks so much for your kind words of support and encouragement for our website and the information we’re providing.

With the very little bit you’ve told me about your son’s trauma, I would recommend you consider finding a counselor for him to go to.

Often drug experimentation can co-occur with some other emotional disturbance, which your son likely experienced when a woman he thought he trusted began to act so completely inappropriately. Losing his best friend as well can be even more devastating.

Consider trying to find a counselor who specializes in adolescents and who can help Andre to process everything that he is experiencing without turning to drugs to numb himself from the pain. Adolescence is a time of great change and it can be overwhelming, making drug use look like an attractive and useful option.

Good Luck and I will pray for you and your entire family,

Debbie
