Help for addiction
Dear Roger, I am not a professional. Just a person in recovery from alcoholism (for 25 years). I’m also the mother of a 27 year old son who is an alcoholic and drug addict and who is in jail. The things I would recommend for you to do, from the experiences I have had are: 1. Attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting (they talk about drug addiction, too) or a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. Find one near you by going on the internet. 2. Go to see a medical doctor and be honest with them-they may be able to help you with some ideas. 3. Get set up to go to a Drug and Alcohol counselor It is great that you are seeking help and there is a lot of help out there. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Please, please seek help before things get worse.
