Side effects of OxyConton?

by DLC

Please tell me side effects of OxyConton (meth?)

How long can someone be on it and cover up side effects

How much is it for a drug addict (that is on the street)

The reason is I think a loved one is on this drug-

Does it make one lie habitually ?

(maybe reason is to get next fix)

Please tell me how to find out what drug this person may be on-I need to help
them

Symptoms of this person was a personality change almost over night or
certainly within a short period of time-habitual lying (HUGE lies) -cold
hatred- ran away from parents -lied about them-won’t return

Very concerning

Oxy is Dangerous

OxyContin is not just a pain killer, when abused it is a pain-inflicter. Since it’s introduction on the market, this drug has quickly become one of the most-abused drugs in the country.

Your description fits the mold and if left untreated, the addict has a harsh road ahead. The best thing is to get your loved one into treatment and a good first step is to consult a professional, your family doctor, or a local drug treatment center.

This is going to require a family plan, as the addict is not going to want to quit and will most likely deny he/she has any problem.

There are excellent programs available for opiate addiction, so you need to look into what is available in your local area, get the family together, and formulate a plan.

Your loved one isn’t going to just quit, no matter what.

Side effects of OxyConton

Dear DLC,

I agree with everything that Ned wrote.

I know someone who was hooked on it and they definitely lied a lot and stole which I imagine was to get the drug. It is a prescription pain killer.

I’ve been told that many people will go to a doctor and tell the doctor a false story about pain they have in order to get this drug prescribed to them.

I highly recommend that YOU go to an Al Anon meeting and/or read some Al Anon literature. These groups are for family and friends of alcoholics and drug addicts. It will help you understand more about addicts and you’ll find others who are going through the same or similar thing as you.

Good luck and I will pray for you-Lynette
