I’m looking for a sponsor, what is the best way to find one?

Find a Meeting
One suggestion I have is to attend meetings and share your story. Depending on your situation, Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous both offer outstanding support. You’ll surely find a sponsor in either place. There are meetings literally in every community, so you should not have difficulty finding one. Also, many churches have fantastic support groups and many people willing to help you and to be your sponsor. Start by calling some of the churches in your area and asking about their support groups. I’ll think you will be pleasantly surprised by what you find out. Good Luck on your recovery!
