The true costs of drug addiction

by Ayo

Hey there,

My name is Ayo, I'm the mother of two beautiful kids and a volunteer in a local homeless shelter. I see there how many lives are affected by drugs and I wanted to share with you this infographic I helped write on the cost of drug addictions. It shows that, among others, 1 in 12 full-time workers use illicit
drugs on a regular basis.

I hope you can consider it for one of your future posts and help spread some awareness.

Take care,

Ayo

Great Infographic!
by: Debbie Wicker

Hi Ayo,

Great Infographic on the costs of drug addiction. Hopefully, many will see this and realize that they don't need to use drugs to be happy and how expensive it is if they do choose to use.

I also think about the devastation drugs are causing in Central America with gangs and drug lords taking over entire communities and terrorizing everyone.

I saw a sixteen year old boy from Honduras interviewed, he was trying to come to the US illegally because the drug lords had killed his father and were threatening him daily for not joining them. That is another HUGE cost of using illegal drugs.

Everyone who buys drugs off the street is responsible for the death and torture happening to supply them with their drug.

The more information we can put out about the harm drugs and addiction do the better!

Thanks again,

Debbie
