36 days sober

I’m 36 days sober and so far so good but I’m still still internally struggling with the question in the back of my mind what’s the purpose?

Even though I know what the purpose of sobriety is I think it’s just a part of recovery the beginning stages at least. God is still good and still not finshed with me yet. I’m just now starting my steps over and trying to figure out where to start.

Should I start from beginning?

Good Job

Dear Latoya,

You’re going great, congratulations! Recovery is not just a phase of treatment, it is a new life.

Yes, do the steps. This can be an exciting periods of self-discovery for you and you can build a new life.

God is good and he has plans for you, so give yourself the opportunity to sit at his feet, listen and let him show you his purpose. You can go to meetings, participate in church groups, but whichever path you take, please know that your sober life is the key to bringing meaning and fulfillment.

Sometimes it is tough, but you are worth it. You go girl.
