Husband may be using meth?

by Felicia

My husband has holes in his socks, shirts on his gloves. A tattoo on him is fading and he is very mean.

He leaves the house, comes home nice and limping on one side and his breath smells different. I asked him if he was injecting meth but told i was stupid he swears he would never do that but i dont believe him.

I’ve seen two blood spots on his boxers one on each side of his thighs. I’ve asked him how come your socks, tank tops and gloves all have similar holes in them, he says cuz his clothes are old.

He has had a ulcer and loss of blood needed a blood transfusion twice, the doctors first question to him was if he uses needles, but he said no.

Dear Felicia,

If you suspect your husband is using meth, things are bound to catch up with him soon.

Have there been changes in his eating habits, his sleeping habits or in his every day activities?

Does he go to work and come home when he’s supposed to, or is there always some kind of excuse for him to get out of the house?

The doctor may not have said anything because he probably was not looking for it. The doc probably treated the ulcer and didn’t explore beyond that.

Maybe you could arrange a recheck for the ulcer and give the doctor a heads-up about your suspicions.

Your husband is going to deny any drug use, so you have to gather the data and force the issue. Be observant and record the information.

Also, you may want find and attend local Al-anon meetings in your area. Many there have been through the same issues you’re experiencing and will hopefully help you to learn how to deal with what ever issues come up.

Finally, I would talk to your doctor and describe what your seeing and get a professional opinion of the possible causes.
