Detachment is hard but necessary

I think you are doing the right thing to help your boyfriend get into addiction recovery. Over and over people talk about not enabling an addiction because then it will just get worse. You could tell your boyfriend that you still love him and will go back to him BUT he has to be CLEAN, not using for SIX Months.

I know hundreds of people who have used this approach and it has worked to get their loved one into treatment and into recovery.

Keep up the good work and hopefully your boyfriend will get the message and get help soon.
