Comments for Major Concern For Loved one

Red Flag Waving

This is a lethal combination and the worst thing to do is nothing. However, to go it alone is not good either. You need to get the family together, united to help your loved one get into treatment.

Al-Anon is a good resource for you. You can expect some negative reaction on this, as your loved one is probably not going to want treatment and may get angry when told that others are concerned.

Addiction does not like interference. Calls to a local drug treatment center might be helpful in formulating a plan to get your loved one into treatment.

The more you know the better, as addicts can be very crafty in coming up with any kind of an excuse not to go into treatment.
