Dear Sammie,
Al Anon is a great group for families and friends of alcoholics and drug addicts. You can find a meeting near you on the internet by looking under Al Anon meetings. Also, some local publications may have lists of meetings in your area.
My son has abused drugs and alcohol for many years and Al Anon has helped me immensely.

I also see a counselor, talk to my minister and go to a physician’s assistant.

So many people in our situation just try to help the one with the addiction problem and neglect themselves (that happened to me for some time). I am glad that you are looking for some support for yourself.
