Drugs never deliver what we think they will.

by: Debbie Wicker

The myth of drug abuse is that drugs will make us feel better. Often the more we use a drug or drugs the worse we’re likely to feel. Alcohol is a depressant, but many people who drink are surprised that they’re depressed.

Cocaine delivers an amazing high when it is first used but it is almost impossible to replicate the same high again. Many people become cocaine addicted “chasing” that initial high.

It doesn’t surprise me at all that you use many different kind of drugs but never feel the happiness you’re seeking.

Addiction is a dead-end and changes your brain chemistry so that you can’t enjoy ANYTHING… drugs actually DESTROY the brain’s pleasure centers.

To be happy you need to learn how to recover from your drug abuse and treat the underlying issues that caused you to start using in the first place.

It could be you have a depression or anxiety problem that is undiagnosed and untreated causing you to try all different drugs as a way to self medicate your depression.

You should consider going to a doctor for a complete physical and asking the doctor to help you to figure out why you are so unhappy and also help you to stop using drugs to get your life back.

Good Luck, I surely hope things improve for you:)
