She takes my pain away…

by Brianna

(Los Angeles )

I’ve been using crystal for about 4years I’m 20 years old. I’m a college student and work part-time. Ugh i feel like crap… i know it sounds stupid but my boyfriend and i broke up and the first thing i did was go to my “connect” and bought some.

I’ve been snorting lines since yesterday. I woke up and got ready for work and snorted like 4 lines then again on my lunch break. I feel so unwanted…. but when i do crystal i feel like i have no emotions. I feel numb. I feel so sad…im on the verge of tears… I’ll probably just snort some more… :'(

Sadly, meth will ultimately make you feel worse.

by: Debbie Wicker

Dear Brianna,

What you are experiencing is often experienced by others who have been where you’re at. You’re using crystal methamphetamine to self medicate you sadness and potentially your depression. Unfortunately, one of the side effects of meth is INCREASED emotional disturbance and even psychosis.

I would highly recommend that you go to your colleges health center and make an appointment with a psychiatrist. Be honest with them about your drug use and how you are feeling. They should help you to withdraw from the meth and give you appropriate medications so that you can feel better and begin to end your severe depression.

Self medicating with meth is going to make you feel worse and worse and INCREASE your sadness and there won’t be enough meth in the world to make you feel better.

Good luck, I certainly hope you get the help you need to feel better,

Debbie
