Dear April,

Not knowing the specifics of your situation, and if treatment is not an option, I would encourage you to get some emotional and spiritual support. AA meetings are everywhere and their organization has many people who have been in your situation before and can probably be a great resource to you.

Treatment, of course, is not always in-patient and there are good out-patient clinics to help you. Our colleague Joe Herzanek is also an option for you, as he has helped countless addicts rid themselves of the clutches of dependence. His phone number is 303-775-6493.

Your doctor might also have some ideas for you and it would be good to have that talk, and be honest with him/her. All the best in finding a path that works for you.
