Childen Are Always Effected

by: Ned Wicker

Dear Terri,

Crystal meth is nasty business and if the parents are using it, the children are most certainly impacted. The use of this illegal, highly damaging drug is bad enough, but even if the kids are not affected by the smoke, they will certainly be damaged by the environment the parents will create.

As the addiction grows, the child’s needs will become less and less an issue, and as mom and dad lose control over their lives, their children will suffer. Meth use has no upside, there is only misery.

Are children affected…

Dear Terri-

From what I read, meth. users set up meth. labs and the fumes from them can most definitely put the children in danger.

They can develop rapid hear beats and irritation of the eyes, skin and mucous membranes. They may develop headaches and cry uncontrollably. The child can actually become addicted to meth. and should be tested to see if they are.

Withdrawal symptoms may be the same as the drug user. They may have developmental or cognitive problems and often suffer emotional problems, as well. Often they are neglected and do not get enough food or attention, etc..

So, this is a VERY serious situation. I did not find any information on the sores being harmful. However, the children exposed should see a doctor to see if the meth. has affected them.

Thank you for sharing – it is great that you are concerned and I hope you are willing to help the children.

Good luck and I’ll say a prayer for you-Lynette
